Halloween

Every year we host Halloween dinner at our house. This year was the first year that my older sister and her family weren't able to make it. We certainly missed them but also had a great time with all the little kids.

Our little king

At school this year the kids were told to dress up as a king, queen or dragon. I found this outfit last minute...added my own personal touch, and presto... A very Handsome King Linkoln!

He had a great time playing with his buddies.

Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Pumpkins

The McKamie'sMother and I
Dad and I
October has flown by! We visited the pumpkin patch a few times as usually. Linkoln has the best time running around, playing on the tractors, loading up the wagons with all the pumpkins he thinks we need to take home, Oh and of course getting us lost in the corn maze;). Nana and Poppy always come out too...Link loves having them around! xoxo

State Fair

Sammy and I have lived in Texas all of our life. How is it that Sammy's NEVER been to the State Fair? Now.. I can't say much since I've only been once, maybe twice but I can at least say that I've been:)

So this is a first for both of my boys. We had a wonderful time. It was a perfect day...beautiful weather, small crowds, good greasy foods and a ton a lasting memories. As soon as we walked in we saw a stand for red candy apples. Now that Might not seem like a big deal to anyone, however my sweet boy loves Max and Ruby and one of his favorite episodes involves Candy Apples. For about a week so Link would ask me for one. I looked everywhere and refused to get one at the grocery store because I wanted his first one to be "fresh" (which is very important at the McKamie household;). Linkoln would say, "Mommy its OK, Ruby has them on her front porch" (If only TV land would let me borrow one...my search would be over). So here we are..two minutes inside the State Fair and Link spots it. The picture says it all! It was funny to see him try to eat it....he preferred licking instead of biting. We also indulged in funnel cakes, Fletcher's corny dogs and anything and everything fried. It was awesome. Our first ride for the day was the ferris wheel. Now heights aren't my thing but how could I let my two favorite people get on something dangerous while I was safe and sound on the ground. It really wasn't that bad...besides Link loved it! Can't wait to go back next year!
